- (1) Hull, Robert W., Thomas Theunissen Quick and Rymerick Jurians Westfall of Ulster County, in The New York Genealogical and Biographical Record, Vol. 139 (2008), p. 30:
BELETJE QUICK, born say 1684 (estimating first child at 25, last child at 42); living 18 September 1746 (church member).
Children of Beletje Quick, father uncertain:
1. SALOMON KWIK "(Illegitimate)," baptized 11 September 1709 at the Kingston Dutch Reformed Church, child of Beelitje Kwik [father not named], sponsors Hendrik Dekker and Claartje de Hooges.
If the given name of the child is a pointer to the father, a candidate is Salamon Davits, baptized 25 [illegible] 1680 at Kingston, child of Joris Davits and Johanna Davits. Salomon Quick does not appear in later records, but a possibility is suggested by the baptism 31 May 1738 at Machackemeck Reformed Church for Beletje, child of Salomon Davids, Jun., and Lea Dekker, sponsors Salomon Davids and Beletje Quik.
2. JOEL QUICK "(Illegitimate)," baptized 16 January 1726 "in Raysester" [Rochester], child of Beeletjen Kwik [father not named], sponsors Jury Best and Antjen Donsbeggen; Joel Quick young man married 3 September 1751 (banns 3 July) at Machackemech CHRISTINA MIDDAGH young woman, both dwelling at Machackemech. On 26 August 1759 at Machackemeck of Beletje, child of Joel Quick and Christina Middag, was baptized, sponsors Jacob Viegli and Beletje Davis his wife. Joel and Christina named their son, baptized 13 April 1768 at Machackemech, Salomon, sponsors Jacob Cool and Janneke Davids.
