He owned land on Wagaraw Mountain, and probably lived there. He married first, 20 Aug. 1775 at Passaic, Margaret Devoursne, born 24 Nov. 1755 baptized 11 Jan. 1756 at Passaic, daughter of Johannes Devoursne and Hester Vreeland; second, 24 July 1791 at Passaic, Antje MacManners, widow, no record of children; third, 18 Jan. 1798 at Passaic, Elizabeth (Lybetje) Rutan, daughter of Paulus Rutan and Jannetje Board, and widow of John Toers, She is referred to in her mother's will (N.
