He was a Revolutionary War Soldier." CENSUS: 1790 US Census for Union District, SC lists John and his wife but no children. The 1820 US Census for Union District, SC lists John and his wife both over age 45, with 4 males under age 10, 1 female under age 10, 2 aged 10-16, 2 aged 16-26, and 1 aged 26-45. The 1830 U S Census shows a John Austin with a young family, and the 1840 US Census shows James and Joseph, no doubt both of this family. ACTION: Who were all of these children, only 5 have been identified so far. Did many of them die early?
