SUSAN ELIZABETH BASHAM; b. 1829, Tennessee; d. 1874. Notes for STEPHEN MATLOCK: In 1860 this family is living in Evanville Township, Clark County, Arkansas. In 1870 this family is living in Falls County, Texas. (2) The following information regarding Stephen MATLOCK is set forth in the obituary of his son, Barney G. MATLOCK, which was posted by Wayne Smith to the Matlock Family Genealogy Forum on May 6, 2002: . . . the father [Stephen MATLOCK] moved to Alexander, Erath County, Texas, when Barney was 5 years old, where they lived until 1885. Then the family moved to Arkansas where the father died the same year. (3) A household headed by Stephen MATLOCK is listed in the 1860 census of Greenville, Clark County, AR.
