      Obituary:

      WAUKEENAH

      Special to the [Pensacola] Journal

      Waukeenah, March 17. -

Wm. Lindsey died March 13 at the home of his son, G. M. Lindsey, after a week's illness. He was born in 1813 in Tennessee and was married twice. Twelve children blessed the union, six of whom are still living, as follows: Mrs. Chason, Mrs. Clayton, Mrs. Saunders, all of Aucillia; John, Adolphus and George Lindsey. He had lived in Florida over forty years, served in the Confederate army, was converted at the age of 16 and joined the M. R. church, of which he has been a consistent member. His last days were his happiest and full of praises to God for the years he had been given and the constant mercies outpoured on him. He was buried at Aucilla by the side of his wife, who preceded him only a few years. A short service was held at the M. E. church.
