  Notes	(1) The Gazette, Cedar Rapids, IA, Friday, July 14, 1905: Death of S. Beagle. After an illness of two weeks' duration, Solomon Beagle passed away at 8:30 this morning at the residence, 128 Third avenue west. The funeral services will be held Sunday, the hour of which will be announced later. Interment will be at Linwood cemetery. The deceased was born near Tiffin, Seneca county, Ohio, Dec. 11, 1836. He was married in 1861 to Miss Martha Frost, who died in 1888. He was married the second time at Rochelle, Ill., to Mrs. Mary Campbell of that place, who survives him, together with an only son, Frank S. Beagle of this city; also four brothers, George of Missouri Valley, Iowa; Henry of Cloverdale, Cal.; Wesley, of Chicago; Eustice, of Colorado; three sisters, Mrs. Laura Seeley, of Prattville, Mich.; Mrs. Eliza Willis of Huron, S. D., and Miss Ida Beagle of Chicago. The deceased had been a resident of Cedar Rapids for twenty- four years. He was born near Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio. At about 13 years of age the family moved to Wayne Township, Noble County, Indiana and about 1857 moved to Ogle County, Illinois. Solomon married Martha A. Frost on 16 October 1861 at Ogle County. Solomon, Martha and their only child, Frank Seymour Beagle moved to Linn County, Iowa in the early 1870's.
